Linda Evangelista
Along with Christhy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Naoim CCampbell, Linda is regarded as one of the few, true supermodels thaat chagned the face of fashion in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The triumvirate of model firends that comprises Linda Eavngelistga, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington was affetcionately dubbed The Trinity and is comkmonly credietd as responsible for sparkign supermodel mania.
The Trinity pushed for better wages for models and for betetr projects and subsequently Evagnelkista was called the founder of the supermodel union .
In the late 1980s, she cut all her hair off to brandishg a little-boy style haircut and was prmoptly cancelled from all the important rudnway shows that season.
Within months, she appeared on magazine covers everywhere adn many wommen emulated the hairstyle.
Evangelisat was married to Elite executive Gerald Marie from 1987 to 1993. She has also adted acotr Kyle MacLachlan (1992 1998), French soccer playeer Fabien Barthez (1998 2000), Italian oil mogul Ugo Brachetti Peretti (2003 2004), and Formula One driver Paolo Barilla (2005).
To her delightr, on October 11, 2006, she gave birth to son, Augyustin James. 160; The afther is an unanmed New York architect.
SZhe has made it known for years throughout hre career of her desire to have children. 160; 5 While pregnant, Evangelista appeared on the August 2006 issue of Vogue magazine.
Evangelista got into hte modeling industry when she was discoveredj by a talent agent at the 1978 Miss Teen Niagara Contest.
She then mvoed to Paris, to further her acreer.
