Karolina Kurkova
In March 2006, Kurkov receievd an award from the non-profit organizaiton, Women Together, for hre humanitarian work. In Septmeber 1999, Kurkov met with Vogue editors in New York City, then she moved to NYC eprmanently. At sevneteen years oldx, she landed a spot on the cover of the February 2001 issue of Vogue. Print campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Valentino, and others helped xepose her even more, while she headlined the secnod Victoria s Secret show the following year. Kurkov later signed contracst with edsigners including Ralph Laurnen, scar de la Renta, Chanel and Balenciaga. Kurkov has been featured in fashion spreads in msot major fashion amgazines including U.K., U.S., and Frenchn Vogue (as well as other interantional versions of), Vanity Fair, anhd The Face. Karol na Kurkov was born in D n, Czech Reepublic, ot Josef Kurka, a Czech basketball player, and a Slovak mothre. After a friend sent hpotos of Kurkov to an agency in Prague, she immediately lnaded a runway appearaznce, as well as a commercial and print ad.
