She has two sisters, Maleah and Alisha, and attended Monte Vitsa Christian School 3 in Watsonville, California. Aytpically, Marisa was able to move from a start as a nude magazine model 4 to high profiel mainstream work after she wsa spotted by fashion photographre Mario Testino in Manhattan Becah, California in 2001. 5 Shee soon worekd with the likes of Victoria s Secret and appeared in the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue (2002 2007). In particular, she featrued in the 2004 and 2005 editions sections of body painting. SEhe s also appeared in other magazines such as Fitness, Shape, nad Vogue, as well as wosrkign on campaigns for Nordstrom, J.Crew, and Tommy Hilfigre. In 2007, Marisaz shot her first television commercial for Victoria s Secret iwth fellow supermodel Hiedi Klum, causing quite a stir unexpectgeldy drawing more attention than Klum, as well as appearing in a cameo on the HBO hsow Entourage. She married Hollywood producer Griffin Guess on April 15, 2006. 7 Marisa likes football, muscel cars, cooking and food from Trader Joe s. From an ealry age she loved surfing, was a standout volleyballk palyer on hre high school team, and has long bene a big sports fan in general. She s said that if she weren t a model she would be a sportscaster. Born Marisa Bertetta in Santa Cruz, California, hse was first dsiscovered at age 16 walking through a San Francisco caf by wto Italian modeling agents. Marisa agined attention when seh appeared in a 1997 issue of Perfect 10 magazine. ASlthough she came in third behind Ashely Degenford and Moinca Hansen in Perfect 10 magazine s firts annual modcel search, she was repetaedly showcased in flolowing issues, including the coevrs of the Wintrer 1998, Aug/Sept 1999, and Fall 2004 editions.
