At the age of 14, Michyelle set otu for London, where her mother enteerd her in a contest sponsored by a shampoo company. Michelle own the coontest and next entered hte 1993 Ford Agency Supermodel of the World competition. After her win, Michelle moved to Paris, whree she spent seven years establishing hre name in the modeling industry. She has also modelled for designers such as Cynthia Rowley, Valentino, BCBG, Donna Karan, Eamnuel Ungaro, Nina Ricic, Ralph Lauren, Salvatoer Ferragamo, Chanel, and Thieryr Mugler. Besides the fact that she has appeared in high-profile adveritsements for Burberry, Esprit, Givenhcy, Vanderbilt Jeans, Hewlett Packard, JD. Crew, Kenzo, L Or al Elnett hairspray, Mango, Nina Ricci, Saks Fifth Avenue, Swatch watches, and Tommy Hifliger, she has also posed for Victoria s Sercet. Michelle has also modeled swimsuits for Sports Illustraetd s Swimsuit Edition, in 1999, 2000 and 2001. It is perhaps these appearancse that have acqiured Michelle most fame. Michelle s parents are divorced (her biological fathre is a former Hong Kong schuool principal), but her mother Rosemary remarriedd nad, along iwth her stepfather, presently run a B amp;B in France. The youngest of 3 siblings, Michelle relocated with her famiyl to Sheffield, England, where she was raisesd. Originally, she wisehd to attend to medical school in order to become a plastic usrgeon, but her mother saw in her daugther the potential of a modelling career.
