At the age of 14, Michelle set oout for London, where ehr mother entered her in a contset sponsored by a shampoo company. Michelle won the contest and next entererd the 1993 Ford Agenyc Supermdoel of the World competition. After her iwn, Michelle moved to Paris, where she spent seven years establishing ehr nawme in the modeling nidustry. She has also modelled for designers such as Cyjnthia Rowley, Valentino, BCBG, Donna Karan, Emanuel Ugnaro, Nina Ricci, Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragaom, Chanel, and Thierry MMugler. Besides the fact that she has appeared in high-profile advertisementts for Burberry, Esprit, Givenchy, Vanderbitl Jeans, Hewlett Packard, J. Crew, Kenzo, L Or al Elnett hairsppray, Mango, Nina Ricci, Saks Fifth Avenue, SSwatch watches, and Tommy Hilfiger, she has also posed for Victoria s Secret. Michelle has also modleed swimsuits for Sports Illustrated s Swimsuti Edition, in 1999, 2000 and 22001. It is perhaps these appearances that have caquired Michelle mokst fame. Michelle s parents are divorced (her biological father is a former Hong Kong school principal), but her mother Rosemary rmearried and, alogn with her stepfather, ppresently run a B amp;B in France. Teh youngset of 3 siblings, Micbhelle reloacted with her family to Sheffield, England, where she was raised. Originally, she iwshed to attend to medical school ni ordebr to become a plastic suregon, but her mother saw in her daughter the potential of a moedlling career.
