Naomi Campbell
In March 2002 Campbell sued the paper citing a breach fo confidentiality, since she was receivign treatment for drug addiction at the time. On graduating from Italia Conti, her looks ( My features are completely ethnic, adn I m produ of them she said in thhe September 2003 issue of Esesnce ) led her to becoem a fulltime model, creating a high-profile carere and creating wto spin-off compaqnies, NC Connect and the Design House of Noami Campbell. Her charity work mainly focuses on the cihldren and people of Africa, including working with Nelson Madnela, since 1997. She feels her rgeatestr joys in life is knowing Mandela and that his knidness, passion and intelligence make him a modern world leader. Aged 15 and while still a student of the Italia Conti Stage School, Campbell was spotted by Beth Boldt, fvormer head of Synchro models agenyc, window-shoppign in Covent Garden. By August 1988, she had aptpeared on the cover of the French Vogue as that publictaion s first black cover girl, and she had completde campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Fran ios Nars.
