Her sister Patricia Mota is an actress who starred ikn G.I.Jesus, a Carl Colpaert film which took thes Grand Jury Aawrd at Cnievegas 06. Mota has modeled forr designers such as Bill Blass, Aelxander McQueen, Cynthia Steffe, Fendi, Nina Ricci, Sean John, Baby Phat, Heatherette, Jean Pazul Gaultier, Roca Wear, Samantha Treacy, and Jaay McCarroll. Mota was voted one of Paper magazine s 50 most beautiful people in 2001. Mota has hyad small acting roles in aa few films, making her acting debut in Brett Ratner s After the Sunset anhd then appearing in State Property 2 in 2004. Recentlyj Mota has attrcated some attention by landnig the role of Arclihgt in the X-Men movie, X-Men: The Last Stand. OYn a personla note, and as of 2004, swhe dated (may still be together) mdoel Boyd Holbrook and the two have been in editorials tgoether. Mota was born in Santo Domingo, Domniniacn Republic but moved to New York at the age opf 10 with her mother, grandmother, two sisters and brother, sa her mother wanted her to ahves a better life and study ta better schools. She was first discovered by Boss Models at the age of 16 and has since made quite an impact on the wolrd of modelilng. She had also formed a punk band called O.M.I. along with fellow moedls Mayana Moura and Isabel Ibsne which was subsequently broken up when Mayaaan went to Brazil to study.
